Corrugator Belt for Double Facer


In the continuous production process of corrugated cardboard, the dedicated conveyor belt (Corrugator Belt) is the core process component that connects the double facer, dryer section, and cooling shaping section, and is not an ordinary industrial conveyor belt. It integrates five functions: high temperature bearing, pressure transmission, rapid moisture absorption and removal, smooth transportation, and dimensional stability. It directly determines the bonding strength, flatness, production speed, and energy consumption level of the cardboard, and is the key "flexible heart" for improving the quality and efficiency of corrugated cardboard production line.

With the upgrading of the packaging industry towards high speed, low weight, and high quality, traditional cotton tapes have gradually been replaced by high-performance synthetic fiber woven belt, becoming the standard core consumables for modern cardboard manufacturing.

Main Function of Corrugator Belt


High temperature hot pressing bearing: Continuous pressure is applied in the hot plate zone of 130-200 ℃, tightly pressing the corrugated core paper and the surface paper to ensure that the starch adhesive is fully gelatinized and quickly cured.


Efficient moisture and heat transfer: Quickly absorb the steam evaporated from the cardboard and diffuse the moisture outward through its own structure, shortening drying time and reducing steam energy consumption.


Stable high-speed conveying: Maintain straight line operation, no deviation, and no slippage at a super high speed of 200-350m/min, ensuring continuous and stable conveying of cardboard.


Surface quality assurance: The surface is extremely smooth, without any joint marks or bumps, avoiding defects such as mesh marks, bubbles, collapse pits, and warping on the cardboard.


Size stable support: Under long-term high-temperature operation, the expansion rate is extremely low, ensuring precise width, neat edges, and no deformation of the cardboard.


Structure of Corrugator Belt

1. Paper touched surface (upper layer): Fine denier polyester monofilament precision weaving, surface Ra<5 μ m, no joints, wear-resistant and anti adhesive, ensuring no marks on the cardboard.

2. Middle support layer: coarse polyester/aramid fiber, high strength, high porosity, fast moisture conductivity, compressive strength without deformation.

3. Hot plate contact surface (bottom layer): Wear resistant, low friction woven structure, high temperature resistance, uniform thermal conductivity, reducing hot plate wear.


Classification of Corrugator Belt


1. Divided by Paper Machine Speed

-- Standard high-speed belt (≤ 250m/min): Conventional multi-layer polyester weaving, suitable for medium and high-speed corrugated cardboard production line, universal and cost-effective.

-- Ultra High Speed Belt (250-350m/min): aramid reinforced, semi open structure, high strength, high breathability, low shrinkage, suitable for high-end imported lines such as BHS, Fosber, TCY, etc.

2. Divided by Function

1. Universal type: suitable for A/B/C corrugated, 3-5 layers of regular cardboard, with a surface paper of 120-250g.

2. Low weight special type: ultra-high breathability, lightweight, suitable for paper weighing less than 100g, eliminating bubbles and wrinkles.

3. Heavy duty cardboard type: reinforced with aramid, thick layer structure, suitable for 7 layers, heavy-duty kraft/kraft, compressive and wear-resistant, long service life.

4. High temperature resistant type: Full aramid or high proportion blend, suitable for high temperature fast curing process, aging resistance, and extended service life by 50%.
