The quality of corrugated rolls is a key factor in improving the efficiency of single facer machines and corrugated paper production lines. During high speed operation, the inertial vibration and constant friction of corrugated paperboard can easily cause wear of the corrugated roll. The quality, width, and industrial technology of the base paper and corrugated roll will affect their service life. (Improper operation and inadequate maintenance are the determining factors for the life of the corrugated roll.)

Use of Corrugated Roll

When adjusting the pressure of the corrugated roll, it is recommended not to increase the pressure of the corrugated roll to the maximum, and do not adjust it when changing the width. This practice will cause excessive wear on both sides of the corrugated roll.

Correct approach:

(1) The pressure of the corrugated roll should be adjusted appropriately from large to small according to the size of the paper feeding width.

(2) The pressure of the corrugated roll should be adjusted from large to small according to the material quality.

(3) The adjustment standard is to check the pressure of corrugated paper forming. The indentation should not be too heavy and the corrugated roll is well formed.

In addition, pay attention to fully lubricate the corrugated roll during use. Spraying a small amount of oil mist or anti friction agent on the surface of the corrugated roll during production can effectively reduce the wear between the corrugated roll and Prevent corrugated paper from breaking and bubbling.

Convenient Adjustment and Maintenance of Corrugated Roll

Corrugated Roll Parallelism Correction:

Eccentricity adjustment is very important. On the one hand, eccentric displacement will cause wear on the corrugated roll, and on the other hand, it will directly affect the quality of the cardboard. It is recommended to use rubbing paper to check whether the corrugated roll eccentricity is out of position every week.

Cleaning of Corrugated Roll

During production, some glue will stick to the surface of the corrugated roll. If it is not cleaned in time, it will cause poor corrugation or eccentric corrugation, affecting normal production. The garbage on the surface of the corrugated roll can be cleaned daily. For internal suction corrugated roll, it is necessary to check and clean the suction holes twice a week. It is recommended to disassemble and clean the suction device once every half a month. If the corrugated roll is stored for a long time, it needs to be coated with special silicone oil. (Note: Tungsten carbide corrugated roll require tungsten carbide special silicone oil)

When removing foreign matter from the corrugated roll, use a steel brush to brush and be careful not to pour cold water directly on the high temperature corrugated roll and preheating roller surface to prevent the roller from deforming due to rapid temperature changes. In addition, when the corrugated roll is damaged, foreign matter should be removed immediately, and the raised part should be flattened with a diamond file. Small depressions will not affect normal use.

Corrugated Roll Maintenance

It is recommended to use silicone oil to maintain the surface of the corrugated roll every week. Silicone oil can form a protective film on the surface of the corrugated roll and play a repairing role.
