Single Sided Adhesive System

The gluing system adjusts the thickness of the glue by adjusting the gap between the scraper roller and the glue roller, and the wire mesh of the glue roller is very important. With a network cable, the adhesive carried will be more uniform. The wire mesh on the glue roller is generally controlled between 28-40 lines to adjust the adhesive capacity.

The higher the number of lines, the thinner the glue on top, and the higher the requirements for the glue. That is to say, the stricter the viscosity requirements for the glue, the lower the required viscosity. In this case, high-speed lines can be run. If the network cable is too large (low number of cables), it will be difficult to run on high-speed lines.

Single Sided Steam System

There are many steam pipes on the end face of the single facer, which are used to heat the corrugated rollers. There are two reasons why corrugated rollers need to be heated: first, corrugated forming requires a certain amount of heat to form; Secondly, the adhesive can only form a certain initial adhesion force when it reaches its gelatinization temperature. So the temperature of the corrugated roller is very important.

The temperature of corrugated rollers is first caused by steam pressure, but in addition to steam pressure, there is another core element that is the siphon tube. After the steam is introduced into the corrugated roller, condensed water will accumulate inside the roller when the steam cools down. If the water is not drained in time, the water inside will greatly absorb heat, thereby reducing the surface temperature of the corrugated roller and causing uneven temperature. This will have a significant impact on the forming of the corrugated and reduce the speed of the vehicle. The function of the siphon is to suck out the water inside the corrugated roller, so the siphon is very important. It is necessary to regularly check whether the siphon has fallen or drained properly. Many companies do not attach great importance to this aspect.

Firstly, the single facer uses glue quantity control, and each type of corrugated is equipped with a glue quantity setting curve, with offset setting function for different materials. Adjust the size of the adhesive according to different corrugated materials, corrugated heights, and vehicle speeds, and the computer will drive the corrugated rollers to automatically adjust the gap.

Secondly, the rotation speed is controlled by applying glue rollers to ensure that the glue is accurately applied to the edges of the corrugated board. This is currently a relatively new control method and can also be controlled based on the paper feed speed of the cardboard.

Thirdly, temperature control is the most crucial aspect. At present, a relatively new type of single facer is equipped with a preheating cylinder built into the machine, which controls the temperature of the paper through the control of the wrapping angle, thereby saving the use of steam.
